At the 49th National Show and Sale of the British Blue Cattle Society BBG bloodlines enjoyed a commanding presence in both the show ring and through the following day's auction.

In the show ring the Overall and Male Championship went to PENYGELLY DAVID a 15 month old grandson of Affute Du Ry Ossogne out of a As De Trefle Du Vanova daughter Penygelly Una.

With the reserve Male Championship being awarded to CROFTENDS CANNON an 18 month old Baroque De L'Ecluse son.

In the female classes the Reserve Female Championship went to GRAYMAR DIAMOND a 13 month old daughter of Sjaka Zoeloe Van Zwaanhof.

In the auction ring the buyers were very keen to acquire the BBG offspring - with the reserve female champion GRAYMAR DIAMOND topping the female prices with 6,000gns (£6,300), some 1,000gns ahead of the next highest price for Betws Dwyn a 15 month old daughter of Blak.

"BBG" females achieved a +41% premium on average.

FOREST CHARLIE CHAPLIN a 20 month old grandson of the famous Balto De Steinbach recorded the second highest price of the day at 7,500gns (£7,875).
